Comic Foundry on Attack of the Show Tonight!
I’ve been told Comic Foundry Magazine made it on to tonight’s episode of Attack of the Show on G4. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Or provide photo evidence?
The New Comic Foundry Is Out Today!
Rush to your store to grab a copy before they sell out! We like to give the lovely retailers a chance to sell their stock before we offer the mag online. Individual orders for issue 3 should be available some time next week.

The next issue of Comic Foundry is out July 10th! It should’ve been out this week, but there was a yet-to-be-explained fuck up by my printer. So, it’ll be a week late. My apologies, gentle readers. And yes, the 10th is a Thursday, but I’m expecting UPS to be a day off because of the July 4th holiday, so new comic day is Thursday, right?
In any case, there is a ton of great stuff in this issue. Like…
• Blair Butler!
• Dash Shaw!
• JG Jones!
• Scott McCloud!
• Dean Haspiel!
• Keith Knight!
• Olivia Munn!
• Paul Pope!
• Mike Mignola!
• Mark Millar!
• Brian Wood!
• Fred Van Lente!
• Penny Arcade!
• Todd Klein!
Seriously, do I need to go on?
Non-Comics Awesome Alert

HARVEY AWARDS TAKEBACK: JK About that Nomination…
The Harvey Awards have been under a bit of scrutiny ever since they announced the 2008 nominations last week. The root of the ruckus stems from concerns of vote-stacking, as there were several “surprising” nominations this year. One of which was in the BEST BIOGRAPHICAL, HISTORICAL OR JOURNALISTIC PRESENTATION category, where a new blog, Meanwhile…Comics!, was honored. The questions don’t come from from the merit of the work, but more of its eligibility because it debuted just this year (the nomination period is for 2007). And now it seems some of those concerns are coming true. I talked with Meanwhile…Comics! contributor Jason Richards, and he said the Harvey Awards were withdrawing the nomination.
“Evidently there were some transposition errors in the ballots,” Richards says. “Seems there was a biography of Milton Caniff released last year called ‘Meanwhile…’ that was supposed to have received the votes. Turns out our blog wasn’t even eligible for nominations because we didn’t exist until this April and eligibility was for Jan-Dec of 2007.Although, the guy said he felt bad because he thought our writing was great and our format was unlike anything else out there. So…maybe next year?”
Indeed.
